About Us

Established in 2005 as a research centre, Malta Industrial Innovation for SMEs ltd. (MIIS) breeds innovation into local SMEs. At MIIS we strive to provide solutions to technical problems faced by SMEs. Knowledge of local SMEs and issues pertaining to this sector give MIIS the cutting edge. MIIS is based at the San Ġwann Industrial Estate (Malta). We observe SMEs, feel their pulse, listen to their problems and help them progress.

Our extensive network of contacts include key local and foreign research institutes and universities. Locally, MIIS nurtures contacts at the Malta Enterprise, Malta Federation of Industry, Malta College for Arts, Science and Technology and the University of Malta, amongst others.

Our proximity to local industrial drivers and institutional stakeholders and contacts in leading research institutes guarantees that MIIS can give the best service.

As a research centre, MIIS has actively participated in a number of EU funded research projects. Through our experience, MIIS can help SMEs to benefit from EU funding opportunities in the field of innovation.
